Birthday for real mermaids!

“Sasha, what are you dreaming about?” - I sometimes asked my daughter, to which I always received the answer: “I dream of becoming a real mermaid!”

She gave me this answer at 4, 5, and 6 years old, and now on the eve of my 8th birthday, the answer was unchanged - A MERMAID, period!

From the point of view of an adult, this is, of course, nonsense, but from the point of view of a child, this is a real dream, on a par with adult dreams of a car, an apartment, a new dress. And the age is such that the child is about to cease to be a child, no, she, of course, will remain my daughter, but already more mature. I see from her that these changes are catching up with her and “adulthood” is replacing “childhood.”

So we decided to make her dream come true this time. When do real dreams come true? On New Year's Eve and, of course, on a personal day - Birthday!

To become a real mermaid, according to our version, Alexandra had to get a magic necklace from the bottom of the sea and learn the cherished words. It’s hard to cope with this alone, but then her faithful friends came to the aid of our future mermaid, who happily went on a journey to the underwater world.

The first test was to catch jellyfish and get magic beads from them for a necklace. It was not so easy to look for jellyfish, since they were absolutely transparent and either sank to the bottom or floated up. Only the colored beads inside gave away their location in the water. It was necessary to catch them, bring them ashore and pierce them in order to get what they needed.

The jellyfish were ordinary plastic bags with water and beads inside.

The beads have been obtained, the necklace has been made, now all that remains is to find the path to the cherished words. On the way we have cheerful octopuses, who, of course, are ready to show us the way, but only in exchange for playing with them. You had to score 100 points by throwing octopuses. There are several targets on the wall, hitting each one brings 5, 10, 20 points. The octopus stuck - you get points, throw them, count them, and collect the required number.

The octopuses were flexible soap dishes with Velcro suction cups; they stick perfectly to the tiles. The targets were marked with masking tape at different heights.

Hurray, points scored, let's move on. There are people on earth who ride around wild horses or even bulls. But in the depths of the sea there are also wild “stallions” - wild sharks. In order for a shark to become a friend and quickly carry you across the sea, you need to tame and ride it. Let's try to stay on our shark for at least 10 seconds. One participant sat astride the shark, and the rest shook the shark with all their might. There was an adult nearby, of course, who controlled all this action.

This is where an inflatable shark and a strong dad came in handy, shaking the children so hard that they flew off the shark like corks.

But they climbed back with squeals and screams.

The favorite place of all mermaids, where there is beauty and many schools of coral fish. You need to catch all the fish and put them in jars. They will be useful to us on our further journey. But we will catch them not with our hands, but with jars.

Our fish were battery-powered, so they quickly swam away from the children.

The fish were caught, the coral reef swam, and here it is - a magical field of luminous algae, this is where we need to find out a spell that will help fulfill our cherished desire.

The role of algae was played by glow-in-the-dark neon sticks. We dimmed the light a little, and the water lit up with an incredibly beautiful glow. It was in this radiance that we had to dive, picking up letters from the bottom.

We created a spell from the letters (each letter had its sequence written on it), but when the children read it, it turned out to be a spell. But someone figured out to read from right to left and solved the magic code: “YOKLASURTATSUCHOHYA.” Have you guessed it?

It must be said that the friends-helpers passed the last test without the birthday girl; we slowly took her out of the water and, waving a magic wand, returned her with a tail. Or was it a spell that worked???

When the spell was cast, the light turned on and a real mermaid sat on the shore of our sea. The child, of course, had a furore.

Six months have passed since this birthday, and now my daughter already answers my question about her dream with completely different things. We can probably conclude that the dream has come true!!!

There was also, of course, a treat; the appetite after such swims was simply brutal.

A master class on making “sea worlds” - each child took their kingdom with them in a bucket, as well as a quiz with prizes.

Everyone left tired but happy.

As a PS, birthdays in water require special care from adults. At our birthday party, almost all the children swam, but leaving them alone is still dangerous, so if you decide on your type of celebration, think in advance about how to ensure the safety of the children.

Those guys who were not very good on the water, in my opinion, were given voluntary-compulsory sleeves and one adult was with them in the water at all times.

Target

— development of natural scientific concepts.

Equipment:

an inflatable pool or bath with warm water, a water lily leaf or egg capsule, flower petals, pebbles, a small Thumbelina doll.

Preliminary work:

Reading a fairy tale by G.-X. Andersen "Thumbelina".

Before the walk, the teacher lowers a water lily leaf into the pool and places a small doll on it, throws flower petals and pebbles into the water.

Progress of the game:

When the children, during a walk, find a figurine of Thumbelina in the pool, the teacher organizes a conversation with them and asks why they decided that it was Thumbelina. You can invite children to selectively retell fragments of a fairy tale. Then the teacher draws the children’s attention to the fact that not only a water lily leaf with Thumbelina floats in the pool, but also flower petals, and at the bottom of the pool there are pebbles. At the teacher’s suggestion, the children explain why the leaf and petals do not sink and float in the water, but the pebbles drown and lie at the bottom. Then the teacher asks the children to name more objects that will not drown in water, because they are lighter than water. You can end the game by listing the objects that will sink in the pool because they are heavier than water.
