From work experience “Using quest technology in music lessons”
Using quest technology in music lessons
Maltseva Oksana Leonidovna,
music teacher of MAOU "Lenskaya Secondary School"
A quest is an intellectual game in which participants need to solve cognitive problems to advance through the plot.
It is based on a game situation in which several search tasks are performed, arranged in a certain order.
Goals:
Educational
– involving each student in an active cognitive process. Organization of individual and group activities of schoolchildren, identification of skills and abilities to work independently on any topic.
Developmental
– development of interest in the subject, creativity, imagination of students; development of research skills, skills of independent work with information; expansion of horizons, erudition, motivation.
Educational
– fostering personal responsibility for completing a task.
If we consider universal educational activities, here we can work both with information and in a team, and find ways to solve rather complex situations, and even develop research activities. Besides all this, children find it interesting.
Formation of UUD:
- working with information;
- self-learning and self-organization;
- teamwork;
- the ability to find a way to solve a problem situation;
- development of research skills.
Quest technology includes the following structural elements: introduction, main part and conclusion.
In the introduction, the teacher explains the rules and course of the game; in the main part, students complete tasks independently; in the conclusion, the results of the game are summed up and the results of the students’ activities are assessed. After the results are announced, a reflection on the results and game difficulties is carried out.
The quest can concern one subject or be cross-subject.
In my activities in primary school lessons, I use two types of quests: the first quest is an introduction quest aimed at immersing oneself in the topic.
An introduction quest involves familiarizing students in a short period of time with the amount of information necessary for further learning. The team receives a set of tasks, which includes theoretical and practical questions. After working with the quest materials, students present the result to their classmates. Since the practical part of the game involves student modeling, design, and creation of an object from scrap materials, during the performance the schoolchildren teach practical skills to their friends.
Second, quest control is developed with the aim of controlling knowledge.
In fifth grade I use webquests. Web-quest is one of the types of project activities. This is a problematic task with elements of a role-playing game, for which information resources of the Internet are used.
In my opinion, this is quite interesting and unusual both in class and in extracurricular activities.

Music ruk: My young friends, today I received a letter from the land of Musical Sounds, where music, instruments, and notes live. They were in trouble, their mood was stolen by an evil witch... and they were bewitched and now they cannot sing, play, have fun and laugh, but only feel sad, shed tears and ask everyone for help.
Guys, what should we do?! I propose to urgently convene our “Musical Children’s Council”
A game is being held - training "Musical Children's Council"
children express their opinion on how to solve the problem that has arisen.
Children's answers: “You need to complete all the tasks of the evil witch”
.
“I propose to sing a lullaby, put the Witch to sleep, and then take away all her instruments.”
.
“Ask others for help.”
“And I think that you need to go to the Witch in the Musical Land and talk to her”
.
Musical director
Thank you guys, all your advice is correct, one thing is clear: we urgently need to save the inhabitants of the Musical Land. Let's quickly hit the road.
And music will tell us the way... To find the land of music Along the winding path I suggest you walk.

Wonderful people!
2. Let’s run along the path (easy running on toes)
We'll get to the clearing.
In the clearing, in the clearing (jumping in place)
We'll jump like bunnies.
Sweetly stretched (hands up, stretched) - 2 times
Everyone smiled.
We have reached the musical land.
(On the screen there is a screensaver of a musical country or city).
1 stop – the city of “Musical Instruments”
.
Exercise. You need to listen to the sound of the instruments and guess their names.
Music leader: We guessed the names, and now we need to collect pictures with the tools depicted on them.
(On the tables there are trays with cut pictures. The pictures show the folk instruments
of Dagestan clarinet and agach - kumuz )
Look, the Witch cut up pictures with enchanted instruments!
I suggest you play the game and put together the musical puzzles quickly!

-Children, you are great, and now I have received another letter from the evil witch, let's read it.
“My dear children, how great you are, you completed all my tasks, you didn’t get confused, how smart and talented you are! Even I, the Evil Witch, have become kinder and cheerful, so be it, I will disenchant the inhabitants of the Musical Land and restore their spirits!”
Musical director:
_Guys, a miracle happened, we turned the Evil Witch into a good one.
I propose to summarize our lesson and decorate the Magic Tree with musical notes, look, they will be multi-colored:
Yellow notes mean: “I liked our trip, it was interesting and easy”
.
Purple notes mean: “I found it interesting, but difficult.”
.
Black notes mean: “I was bored and uninterested”
.

At the end of the event, the music director brings out a magic chest with a message from the Evil Witch and reads out another letter received from the Land of Musical Sounds.
" What a beauty! And I’m also glad that we all showed how friendly, skillful and cheerful we are! I have a surprise for you too! I give these sweet notes to you for your musical talents, kindness and friendship."
