Summary of a lesson in the middle group on drawing on the topic “Rowan”

With paints

A rowan branch (a drawing for children can be made using both classical and non-traditional techniques) will be painted on paper if you prepare the following:

  • squirrel brush size No. 7-10;
  • gouache paint;
  • water;
  • paper poke;
  • a small piece of fabric;
  • paper.

When all materials and tools are prepared, you can start drawing.

The work will take place in the following stages:

StageDescription
1Draw a rowan branch

For this, brown gouache paint is used.
The branch should start on the left side of the paper sheet, go to the right and, decreasing in thickness, end on the other side of the paper. In this case, the branch will not be straight, it should be slightly rounded, as if sagging down. Several thinner lines should extend from this branch, which should also be depicted using brown paint.
2Draw leaves

They adorn all thin and thick brown branches. A large brush is used for this. You need to dial 2 colors at once - green and yellow. In this case, yellow paint can be on the entire brush, and green paint only on the tip. This is the unusual nature of the technique. In order not to stain the gouache in the jar, you can use a palette. Before you start directly drawing rowan leaves, you need to take into account that they are complex in this plant. Each rowan leaf consists of several smaller leaves connected in pairs. The last leaf on the branch should be 1.
The entire bristle of the brush should be applied to the place where you plan to create the leaf, so that you get a multi-colored print. This technique is called “double stroke”. This is how all sheets are created. You can use other color combinations, for example:

· combine yellow with orange on one brush;

· use yellow with red.

In these cases, you will get autumn or winter leaves. It is recommended to use all these multi-colored options to create the same picture.

There may be green-yellow leaves on one branch, yellow-orange on another, and orange-red on the third.

3Draw berries

They are red and orange berries that accumulate in clusters on the branches. The same poking technology that was used to draw the leaves is used here. It’s easy to depict bunches of rowan berries: all that is required of the artist is to make a few pokes (from 5 to 10) under each of the thin branches. The berries can be red or orange at the discretion of the artist. At the last stage, you need to put 1 small black dot on each berry.
4Complete the missing elements

It is possible that there are empty areas somewhere that would be better filled, for example, with leaves or berries. If, after admiring his own painting, the artist feels that everything is completely ready and there is no need to add anything, he can leave the painting as is.

On a white background

A rowan branch (it is best to start a drawing for children on a white background) can be depicted using the poking method.

For work you will need the following tools and materials:

  • 2 paper sheets;
  • paints (it is better to choose gouache);
  • container with water;
  • brush;
  • several real rowan leaves (preferably a branch);
  • a little red or orange plasticine.

The image creation process will consist of the following steps:

  1. Take the prepared plasticine and roll several rowan berries from it. 10-20 pieces will be enough. Next, these molded circles will be used when drawing using this technique. It is better not to use real fruits.
  2. Start drawing. Place one of the sheets of paper on a horizontal surface and place a rowan branch with leaves on it. The top side of the rowan leaves should be adjacent to the paper. Therefore, they should be positioned with the back side facing up.
  3. While the rowan branches are on the paper, apply green gouache paint to them with a brush. If small children are engaged in drawing, then it is better to use smaller sheets so that young artists do not get tired.
  4. When all the leaves have green paint, apply yellow gouache on top. You can also use brown paint, because autumn leaves are colorful.
  5. Turn the prepared rowan leaves over and place them on another sheet of paper. Each leaf should be pressed down more tightly.
  6. Lift each branch and see what happens. The result should be the same branch, but only depicted with green, yellow and brown gouache paint.
  7. Add the main element of the picture - red berries. This can be done with your fingers, without using a brush. All that is required is to dip your index finger in red or orange paint, and then make a few pokes on the paper under the prints of the sheets.
  8. You can use another method of adding berries to the drawing. It consists of using plasticine balls made at the first stage.

Rowan bush

Rowan is not always a tree; often it does not grow tall, but remains a bush.

To draw a rowan bush, you must do the following:

  1. Draw trunks and large branches with a pencil. The bush should be lush.
  2. On the main branches, mark smaller branches.
  3. Label rowan bunches. They should look massive because of the snow on them.
  4. Trace the branches and trunks with a dark brown felt-tip pen or paint.
  5. Paint the bottom of the rowan bunches in red or dark orange.
  6. Paint the tops of the grapes white.
  7. Color the background gray.
  8. At the bottom of the sheet, draw snow in white.

If you want to draw a full-fledged tree, you must adhere to the following universal sequence:

  1. In the center of the sheet draw a trunk and outline the foliage. You should not press hard on the pencil; some of the lines will need to be removed when making adjustments.
  2. Draw the trunk and sketch out the branches of the tree in more detail.
  3. Draw the foliage. It is done with rounded, careless lines. If the tree is expected to stand in windy weather, it is better to tilt the foliage slightly to the side.
  4. Use an eraser to remove the guide line and begin detailing the wood.
  5. Use sloppy lines to outline the relief of the bark.
  6. Draw the missing tree branches.
  7. Increase the volume of the cortex.
  8. Draw leaves on all branches of the tree.
  9. At the bottom of the sheet, mark the ground, if desired, add grass.
  10. Color the trunk and branches with a dark brown pencil, paint or marker.
  11. Without pressing hard on the pencil, paint over the left and right parts of the tree.
  12. Considering that the light falls on the tree from above, mark this at the top. It should be lighter than the bottom of the tree.
  13. Detail the leaves and take into account that they are located randomly on the branches.
  14. Mark the highlights in the drawing. To do this, just use an eraser to erase in the desired areas.

When autumn ends and the number of cloudy days increases, it is good to keep children busy with drawing. Outside the window at this time you can see a rowan branch, on which, despite the low temperature and snowfall, beautiful berries grow. Creating their image will not be a boring task, it will allow you to train your fingers and will subsequently delight you with the finished beautiful picture.

In a vase

A rowan branch (the drawing for children can be in the form of a still life) in a vase is depicted on a sheet of paper in the following sequence:

  1. Draw a vase, placing it on a piece of paper so that there is space for branches. It is better to mark the top and bottom of the vessel in advance using a simple pencil. It is enough to draw them 2 horizontal lines - at the top and bottom. The vase itself can have any shape, any size and any pattern on the surface at the request of the child.
  2. Once the vase is drawn, start drawing the branch. The rowan tree is thin and bends slightly downward under the weight of the fruits growing on it. To depict a rowan branch coming out of a vase, simply draw a brown line with paint.
  3. Draw several leaves to the branch. Each rowan leaf consists of smaller narrow leaves placed in pairs. Leaves should be drawn in pairs using the dipping method. The bristles of the brush must be placed flat and then carefully lifted. At the same time, you need to remind children that in autumn all the leaves on the rowan tree are multi-colored. Leaves can be made two-colored using green and yellow paints. You can completely dip the brush in yellow paint, and then its tip in green, and place the bristles on the side of the paper.

  4. To draw petioles, apply the thin end of the brush to a piece of paper and use light movements to create light lines. This will convey the liveliness of the drawing.
  5. Draw berries. They should be located closely and partially obscure each other. You can use cotton swabs to draw berries.
  6. When the paint is completely dry, all that remains is to add 1 black dot to each rowan berry. These will be the stamens of the fruit.
  7. If necessary, add a small number of small branches to the picture.

Winter rowan

Rowan berries differ from many other well-known fruits in that they ripen not in summer, but in autumn, often in October or later. They can be seen on a tree after snow falls and winter sets in.

Therefore, when drawing a branch of this frost-loving plant, it is necessary to make the leaves not only green, but also yellow, which will accurately indicate the time of year.

The rowan branch (the drawing for children can be thematic, for example, winter) in the image may be covered with fresh snow. It is important not to forget to remind children that rowan should not be picked from the tree, no matter how beautiful it is, because birds that find it difficult to survive in harsh winter conditions will feed on it.

To work you should prepare:

  • wax crayons;
  • paper sheet;
  • gouache paint;
  • container with water;
  • several brushes;
  • 1 candle.

The crayons that will be used in this process have the good property of repelling paint, which results in interesting effects. This method of drawing is also non-traditional.

Step-by-step creation of a drawing of a rowan branch for children.

The work stages will be as follows:

  1. Draw a branch. Using brown wax crayon for this. You can immediately draw the outlines of the leaves without changing the color of the chalk. Subsequently they will be painted in the desired color.
  2. Start drawing berries. To do this, first use the same brown chalk. They need to create an outline. Each berry should have a round shape.
  3. Add a “tail” to each berry, which is typical for all rowan fruits. Such “tails” are depicted by 2 very short intersecting strokes, which are located approximately in the center of the berries. Brown chalk is used for this.
  4. Color the berries with red or orange chalk.
  5. Color the leaves with yellow and red crayons.
  6. Use blue chalk to draw snowflakes throughout the drawing.
  7. Circle all the drawn snowflakes with a candle.
  8. Paint the sheet with liquid gouache. You can add white gouache, as well as snow - by spraying.

Autumn

To draw an autumn rowan branch, you need to prepare:

  • colour pencils;
  • paper;
  • eraser;
  • black fountain pen;
  • simple pencil.

The drawing process takes place in the following stages:

  1. Outline the location of branches and fruits. The branches should be represented by thin lines made with a simple pencil, and the fruits should be represented by small circles.
  2. Draw leaves on the rowan branch. There are many of them and each of them should have the shape of a drop. It is also important not to forget about the veins.
  3. Draw the berries in detail. They should be pressed tightly against each other. You need to try to make sure that the fruits touch each other. In this case, the drawing will be more realistic.

  4. Draw the branch on which the bunch of berries is located. On some fruits, a small dot marks the middle.
  5. Give clarity to a sketch made in pencil. To do this, outline all pencil lines with a black fountain pen.

  6. Take an eraser in your hands and begin to remove unnecessary traces of a simple pencil.
  7. Take colored pencils and start coloring. First, color the branches: the thicker ones should turn brown, and the thinner ones should turn green.
  8. Color the sheets. The colors used for this are green, yellow and orange.
  9. Color the fruits. They should be red or orange. At the same time, to make the picture more realistic, it is recommended to leave small areas of the berries unpainted. This is how a glare is formed.
