But it was not until 1844 that the creation of safety matches was announced. Before a match broke out in a person’s hands, many events happened, each of which contributed to the long and difficult path of creating a match. Since time immemorial, fire has played an important role in the development of mankind. The ancient Greek philosophers Plato and his student Aristotle gave fire a special place. Plato studied various natural phenomena and passed on his experience to his students while walking through the park among the trees, which sometimes caught fire from heavenly fire. Plato's ideas about the world formed into a philosophical system that dominated for more than two thousand years. The system of the universe was based on four elements: fire, water, air, earth. Ancient scientists viewed fire as a phenomenon. but at the same time they completely excluded its practical application. In Greek mythology, the gods jealously guard fire for themselves. they are in no hurry to give it to people, and moreover, they resist this in every possible way. The mighty Prometheus rescues humanity; he steals fire from Olympus and gives it to people. The use of fire and the ability to make fire constituted one of the characteristic features of human culture even in the early stages of development. It is impossible to establish exactly when primitive people began to use fire. When people learned to make fire, this turned out to be the largest event in the history of mankind, which essentially made man human. Fire warmed man's home, changed the way of cooking, and taught him to smelt iron and copper, gold and silver. The production of the first earthenware and ceramic dishes is due to fire. The first fire was produced by man in a primitive way - by rubbing two pieces of wood, and the wood dust and sawdust became so hot that they spontaneously ignited. The wooden sticks were replaced by the famous flint. This is a very simple device: a piece of steel or copper pyrite was struck on a flint and sparks were struck, which ignited some flammable substance. Surprisingly, only a little over 200 years ago in Russia. And throughout the world, steel flint and wick were practically the only matches of the man who managed not only to build the Egyptian pyramids, but also to create James Watt’s steam engine. Robert Fulton's first steamboat, looms and many other great inventions, but not matches. The ancient Greeks and Romans knew another way to make fire - using sunlight focused by a lens or a concave mirror. The great ancient Greek scientist Archimedes deftly used this method and, as legend says, set fire to the enemy fleet with the help of a huge mirror. After 1700, a significant number of means for producing fire were invented, the most interesting of which was the Döbereyer incendiary apparatus, created in 1823. The inventor of the device used the property of detonating gas to ignite in the presence of spongy platinum. However, this device was of little use. The world's first match appeared in 1826 thanks to the English chemist and pharmacist John Walker. An important role in the birth of the match was played by the discovery of white phosphorus made by a retired soldier from Hamburg, Henning Brand, in 1669. After studying the works of famous alchemists of that time, he decided to get gold. As a result of the experiments, a certain light powder was accidentally obtained. This substance had the amazing property of glowing, and Brand named it phosphorus, which translated from Greek means luminous. Matches came to Russia in the 30s of the 19th century and were sold at one hundred silver rubles. Later, the first matchboxes appeared, first wooden and then tin. Moreover, even then labels were attached to them, which led to the emergence of a whole branch of collecting phylums. The label carried not only information, but also decorated and complemented the matches. Conversation “This match is not big” Goal: to make children understand the purpose of matches in the house, to explain their danger if they fall into the inept hands of an inattentive and irresponsible person; introduce reproductions of the disasters that matches can cause. Benefits: boxes of matches, thematic paintings. Progress of the lesson. We know, children, that fire can bring great disasters if allowed to ignite. It destroys houses, buildings, forest lands, and open spaces of grain. -What causes fires? -From lightning, from a spark, from an unextinguished match. -Look at this picture. What do you see on it? -There is a picture of a fire here. The house is on fire. -Why do you think the fire happened? -Or maybe one of the children’s cats took matches and tried to light them? -Do you know how to light matches? Who was taught by dad or mom to use matches? Come on, show me how to light it up. There's no need to rush. The match must be held so that when it lights up it does not burn your fingers. Otherwise, you have to throw it away when it has not yet gone out. What could this lead to? -That's right, this could lead to a fire. As in the poem written by Elena Khortinskaya. Listen to the story the naughty boy Vova started: Can we light a fire? We’ll play, and then we’ll put everything out and leave... Vova quickly struck a match, And the flame fluttered up like a bird. It curled like red shavings, The wind blew, and through the shavings, over the boards, over the tubs. The fire spread through the wood... More flames, higher flames! “Oh, I’m afraid we’ll burn ourselves...” And the guys ran as fast as they could... - Why did the guys run away? What should the boys have done in this case? - That's right, you should have called the fire department right away. Do you know the number? And the fire would have been extinguished without causing much damage to the house. And then little Toma was almost harmed: The room is full of smoke, On the floor by the radiator Cries pitifully and subtly, The flames are rushing around... The commander grabbed the child, He makes his way crawling... Here he flashed on the balcony, Carefully keeping the burden... He carried Tom out of the fire... - Firefighters had to work hard to control the fire. But the house was still damaged. And all from what? - That's right, guys can't play with matches. Remember well: The match is not big in height, Don’t look at what it says, This little match can do a lot of evil. Remember firmly, friends, That you can’t play tricks with fire. Project participants: children of the group, parents, teachers, music directors.

Abstract to the project: The project is dedicated to an urgent problem - educating preschool children to have a conscious attitude towards themselves as an active subject of fire safety. The relevance of the project is also due to the fact that children of this age do not have a protective psychological reaction to fire conditions. The desire to constantly discover something new and spontaneity often put them in front of real dangers. It is estimated that out of a thousand fires, one hundred break out due to the fault of children who become victims of their ignorance and frivolity. The number of children affected by fire increases every year. This cannot but cause alarm, especially against the backdrop of increased fire danger in our region and district.

To make a person’s attitude towards this problem conscious, it is necessary to deal with fire safety issues from preschool age. This work must be carried out purposefully and systematically. Kindergarten and parents need to join forces to protect children from tragedy.

Expected result

  • deepening children's knowledge about fire safety rules, forming the habit of observing them;
  • correct behavior in an emergency situation (dial the fire department phone number, conduct a dialogue with the dispatcher by phone: clearly state your address);
  • know fire extinguishing means;
  • be able to act correctly in the event of a fire;
  • know about the firefighter profession;

Fire Safety Project

Project

“System of work on developing the basics of fire safety and actions in emergency situations with children of senior preschool age in kindergarten”

Author: Makeeva Olga Gennadievna,

preschool teacher

MBOU Lyceum "Technical" Samara

Objective of the project:

To teach preschoolers to anticipate and prevent dangers that threaten life and health associated with non-compliance with the basics of fire safety, to avoid it, and in extreme or emergency situations to use skills and techniques of correct behavior.

Project objectives:

To prepare children for the work of firefighters:

-have an idea of the work of combat crews, fire equipment, and the work of state supervision.

-have an idea of firefighting tactics, show the relationship between fire departments and show the relationship between rescue services: -01;-02;-03;-04;-112.

Create a feeling of increased danger of fire:

-know the properties and qualities of objects from the point of view of combustion.

- to form a certain attitude towards objects of increased fire hazard.

Understand the need to comply with fire safety rules:

-know the causes of fires and basic fire safety rules.

Know how to behave in case of fire:

-be able to navigate the space of a room (group, apartment, building).

-know the first steps in case of fire.

- know the procedure for evacuation.

To develop in children the ability to anticipate possible danger in a specific situation and develop adequate behavior:

- confidence in your actions.

-development of moral qualities and patriotic feelings in children.

Interaction with parents:

formation of unity of views between parents and teachers on the basics of fire safety in children.

Relevance of the project:

Fires know neither borders nor nationalities, they spare neither young nor old.
Fire safety, like human safety, in general largely depends on his education, including awareness of possible factors, sources, carriers of fire disasters, exposure to rules of action in emergency situations - fires, readiness to withstand the dangers of fire that lie in wait for us in nature, in urban environments - everywhere where we live, work, and relax. In accordance with the Law of the Russian Federation “On Fire Safety of the Russian Federation”, adopted by the State Duma on November 18, 1994, Article 25 states “mandatory training of children in preschool educational institutions ... in fire safety measures.”
The child does not have a psychological defensive reaction; their thirst for knowledge, the desire to discover something new puts the child in front of real dangers. Therefore, fires are often caused by children's pranks with matches, lighters and pyrotechnics. The mental development of preschool children is such that psychophysical functions are improved, there is a need for intellectual activity and the acquisition of new knowledge and skills, which, with skillful guidance, can develop into the need to comply with them. All of the above proves that developing fire safety skills and correct actions in case of fire must begin in preschool age.

Predicted results:

Learned the basic rules of fire safety, causes of fire, first actions in case of fire, procedure for action in case of fire and properties of fire.

We learned to communicate correctly with fire, to navigate the space of a room (group, apartment, building). Be able to work with a plan, highlighting the exit from the room.
