A bedtime story is not just entertainment
Going to bed is not the most pleasant moment for a child. How many times have our parents had to listen to “I don’t want to sleep” and “just a minute”?
And we still have so much to hear, now from our children...
This behavior is often caused by emotional stress. A long busy day, serious workload at school - all this has an exciting effect on the child.
Short bedtime stories will come to the aid of parents, which you can listen to every evening, turning getting ready for bed into a pleasant procedure.
A fairy tale will help your child relax before bed and create a magical atmosphere in the bedroom. Reading fairy tales are important moments of close communication between a child and a parent, strengthening his trust and affection. Listening to audio stories together is one of the facets of such communication.
When the night was approaching
In one city there lived a girl Sasha, she was inquisitive, brave, strong and smart. She was always interested and fun to spend her day. Sasha constantly came up with new games, she had many ideas. And that's why she didn't like to go to bed at all. The girl ran everywhere, because there were so many new and educational objects around that she could play with and come up with interesting entertainment for herself and her friends.
And then one day, when night was approaching, the girl had to go to bed. Mom persuaded her that she needed to rest and gain strength so that tomorrow would be even more interesting and fun.
And the girl said:
I don't want to go to bed! I have so many unfinished things to do, I still have a lot to do.
Mom tried to persuade her, but Sasha did not listen. Instead of going to bed, she took the bike and went out into the yard with it. It was dark there. Grandmother Night was approaching with her granddaughter, whose name was Darkness. The girl was not afraid and told them:
Come on, go away! And never come again! Here now the Sun will always shine and it will be light! And no darkness!
And Sasha drove Night and Darkness from her street. The sun returned and it became light. The sun was friends with Sasha. They started riding a bike together, playing races, and they had a lot of fun. And then the girl noticed that the Sun was not shining so brightly, because she was tired. And then she asked:
My best friend, what happened to you, why did you become so sad and cheerless?
Understand,
The sun said,
I have to shine not only here, for you, but also for all people on Earth! Do you know how difficult it is? I usually stay awake during the day and then rest when Granny Night comes. But today for some reason she didn’t come, and now I should have the light on all the time. And I’m already so tired and want to sleep!
Sasha did not tell Sunny that it was she who drove away Grandma Night. The girl decided to correct her mistake, because Sunny was a true, loyal friend for her. She said:
Wait, I'll be back soon! I'll go and look for Granny Night.
And so that Sasha wouldn’t get lost, Sunny turned her bike into a magical one. The girl began to move north and found herself in the dark depths of the forest. Sasha was not afraid of anything, because she had a bicycle, and behind her was her faithful friend the Sun. When she drove into the scariest part of the forest, she began to call:
Grandma Night! Grandma Night!
At first, no one responded to the girl, and then an owl hooted, tree branches creaked, leaves rustled, and Grandmother Night appeared before her. It was so dark there that Sasha could hardly see anything.
Grandma Night,
Sasha said,
I wanted to ask for your forgiveness. I realized that when you come with your granddaughter Darkness, you need to rest and gain strength so that the new day is more interesting and fun. In general, please come back to us, otherwise my friend Sunny will feel bad without you
And Grandmother Night simply smiled without saying a word.
And only then did the girl realize that she needed to rest at night and gain strength for the new day. Sasha began to look for a way out of the forest. And she didn’t know where to go. And it was very dark. The girl was already very tired, her eyes were closing on their own. Then Grandma Night took her in her arms and carried her. And very soon they found themselves on Sasha Street. The girl fell asleep in her crib and saw magical dreams that were so interesting and colorful, as if in reality.

How to listen to a fairy tale with your baby
Listening to an audio recording of a work of art requires a serious concentration of attention from the child. This is an excellent training for mental processes - memory, thinking, attention, perception. Meanwhile, this is much more difficult for him than just reading with his mother and looking at pictures.
Therefore, before listening to a fairy tale online, it is recommended to prepare your child for listening, and then discuss with him what he heard:
- Briefly tell your child in advance what the fairy tale will be about, show illustrations by different authors for it.
- After listening, ask questions about the plot, ask to retell certain episodes.
This will allow you to determine whether the child understands the meaning of the audio fairy tale, or whether it is worth choosing simpler works for him.
Before bedtime, children are recommended to read quiet, calm fairy tales with a well-known plot.
